The Joyful Table is a business making macarons and other baked goods. But we are about more than just making food. We are about joy. And community. And encouragement. Sometimes life is hard or difficult things happen and you just have to sit down with someone who will listen and care and share a meal and get some encouragement. Or sometimes you'll notice that a friend is struggling with something and so you bring them a dessert to remind them that someone loves them and is thinking about them. And sometimes you want to celebrate a birthday or an achievement or the fact that you are alive another day. That's what we are about--setting a table with joy. (and also macarons.) Food brings people together so our goal is to develop delicious meals and desserts that can be for a large group or a meal for one but no matter who you share it with, we hope it brings joy.

It seemed like a dream, too good to be true, when God returned Zion's exiles. We laughed, we sang, we couldn't believe our good fortune. We were the talk of the nations - "God was wonderful to them!" God was wonderful to us; we are one happy people. And now, God, do it again - bring rains to our drought-stricken lives. So those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest, so those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.
